UPDATE OF WHERE WE ARE AT WITH ESC 2020

So I’ve spent a fair bit of time waffling on about the national finals we’re looking forward to in the next few months, but I thought a concise post simply stating where each country is at might be helpful. (For non-English readers, TBC means To Be Confirmed or that we don’t have anything certain in this area yet).

Albania- Arilena Ara won FiK58, and will represent Albania with ‘Shaj’.

Armenia- Depi Evratesil will select their song and artist. No further details yet.

Australia- Australia Decides will be used again. Artists released, songs TBC.

Austria- Vincent Bueno was internally selected to represent Austria with the song ‘Alive.’

Azerbaijan- Completely silent with details, everything TBC.

Belarus- National Final will be used. Songs and artists TBC.

Belgium- Hooverphonic internally selected to represent Belgium, song TBC.

Bulgaria- Victoria was chosen internally to represent them. The song will be released in March.

Croatia- Dora will select the song and artist. Artists released, songs TBC.

Cyprus- Sandro internally selected to represent Cyprus. Song TBC.

Czech Republic- Online National Final to be used. No songs or artists yet.

Denmark- Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will choose. No songs or artists yet.

Estonia- Eesti Laul will select the song. Songs and artists released.

Finland- UMK will be used. No songs or artists yet.

France- Can’t make up their mind, everything TBC.

Georgia- Tornike Kipiani will represent Georgia in Rotterdam. Song TBC.

Germany- Nobody knows what’s going on, everything TBC.

Greece- Internal selection. Artist TBC very soon, song TBC.

Hungary- Not competing in 2020 😦 A Dal will still happen this year, though.

Iceland- Songvakeppnin will be used. Songs and artists TBC.

Ireland- Internal selection almost certain. All TBC though.

Israel- The Next Star will select the artist. Song TBC.

Italy- Sanremo will be used. Most artists released, songs TBC.

Latvia- Supernova will be used. Artists and songs TBC.

Lithuania- Eurovizija will be used. Artists and songs revealed.

Malta- The X Factor Malta will choose the artist. Song TBC.

Moldova- Probably a National Final, but still not sure. Details TBC.

Montenegro- Not competing in 2020 😦

Romania- Selecta Nationala (99% certain) to be used. Songs and artists TBC.
